Step onto the shop floor in Germantown, WI and kick off a day that blends hands-on craftsmanship with practical problem-solving. In this role, about 80% of your time is spent on mechanical assembly and 20% on electrical work—bringing custom industrial machines to life in a supportive, laid-back environment where the team works hard, has fun, and takes pride in the details.

A Day in the Shop
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics to plan your build approach.
  • Assemble and integrate frames, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys with precision alignment.
  • Wire and terminate motors, sensors, control panels, and basic machine controls.
  • Drill, tap, ream, cut, and modify parts as needed to meet tight fit and finish requirements.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools, plus drill presses, saws, and grinders safely and efficiently.
  • Verify accuracy using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues encountered during assembly.
  • Keep quality and safe work practices front and center throughout every build.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years in machine building, industrial equipment assembly, automation, or related manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to independently read mechanical blueprints and follow electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on experience assembling mechanical drive systems.
  • Comfort with basic wiring, terminations, and control panel work.
  • Skilled with hand and power tools; experienced with drilling, tapping, and reaming.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have your own tools.
Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)
  • Packaging machinery, conveyors/material handling, or shrink-wrap equipment.
  • Forklift/crane operation.
  • Welding/fabrication.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement.
