Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality care. This key leadership role oversees daily nursing operations within a specific unit, supports staff development, and promotes a safe and compassionate environment for our residents.

Assistant Director of Nursing Requirements

• Active (RN or LPN) license in Wisconsin with a minimum of  3 years of Nursing Experience

• Previous nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing

• Leadership experience preferred (Nurse Supervisor or Unit Manager, Charge Nurse etc.)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Infection Control Certification or willing to obtain

• Passion for team-building and delivering person-centered care

Assistant Director of Nursing Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

• Manage and supervise nursing staff on assigned unit

• Oversee daily nursing operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans

• Monitor resident outcomes, quality measures, and regulatory compliance

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to nursing staff

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting

• Participate in resident and family meetings to address concerns and ensure satisfaction of care

• Be a part of clinical Leadership call rotation

• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training of nursing staff as needed
