Job Summary:
X-ray Technologist position located in a tight-knit community in Kings County. The role involves operating radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, positioning patients, and ensuring safety during procedures. The technologist will support both diagnostic X-ray and C-arm imaging, requiring procedural and surgical imaging support within the specified shift schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shift, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology; ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification; Radiologic Tech license in the state of practice (CA or HI); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (required in CA within 6 months of hire)
- Preferred Qualifications: C-arm experience to support procedural and surgical imaging needs
- Essential Functions: Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation; explains procedures to patients and answers questions; prepares equipment and examination rooms; positions patients for imaging; monitors patient safety; produces diagnostic images; documents examination information; reports critical findings to physicians; verifies exams on PACS; performs other assigned duties
- Additional Information: This role requires supporting both diagnostic and procedural imaging needs, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient care.
