Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Contract: 13 Weeks
Unit: Cath/EP Lab
Schedule: Full-Time | Weekdays | 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Interview Preference: Client will call candidates directly
Schedule & On-Call Requirements
- Full-time weekdays: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- One variable weekday off per week.
- 1 weekend on-call per month: 5:00 PM Friday–6:30 AM Monday.
- 4 weeknights on-call per month: 5:00 PM–6:30 AM the following day.
- No weekend commitment outside of scheduled on-call.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures. The ideal candidate will be a strong scrub tech who can work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Scrub for a wide range of cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
- Support heart cath procedures, including interventional procedures.
- Scrub for peripheral vascular and structural heart procedures.
- Assist with electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the procedure room, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Assist physicians and the multidisciplinary team during procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow all applicable safety and infection-control standards.
- Accurately document procedure information; experience with Merge Hemo is preferred.
- Troubleshoot equipment and procedural issues as needed.
- Provide support during emergent and scheduled procedures.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in required on-call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab experience.
- Strong scrub experience across cath/EP procedures.
- Must be able to scrub for:
- Heart catheterization procedures
- Interventional cardiac procedures
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Structural heart procedures
- Electrophysiology procedures
- BLS and ACLS required.
- RCIS or RCES preferred.
- ARRT certification/licensure acceptable with appropriate cath lab scrub experience, including heart catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Merge Hemo documentation system.
- Broad experience across Cath Lab and EP procedures.
- Strong sterile technique and procedural knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot and respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
