CT Technologist Kings County. This position involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The role may also include performing general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures within a healthcare organization.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images used for medical diagnosis. Performs additional imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
  • Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology; registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)); Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice; advanced certification in CT modality (required in Oregon and Hawaii, preferred in California); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (in California); venipuncture certification (in California).
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Assesses, plans, and implements patient care from adolescence through geriatrics. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for interpretation. Uses Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and teleradiology systems for image transfer. Maintains accurate records and ensures compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines. Performs routine equipment maintenance, manages supply inventory, and performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to support overnight operations with minimal additional training and have experience with GE CT equipment.
