Accounting Specialist - Hybrid

Job Description:
The Accounting Specialist is a temporary position responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting duties for the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS). The AZDOHS is about to go through an audit and the current staff will be focusing on establishing efficiencies and improving internal controls at this time. This role requires an understanding of accounting best practices, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 1-2 years of experience
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Must demonstrate attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to use accounting software
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong data entry skills
