Maintenance Technician

Position Description: Property Maintenance Crew MemberM. Shapiro Real Estate GroupM. Shapiro Real Estate Group is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our manufactured housing communities and assisting with a variety of maintenance and repair projects.The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and has experience performing general maintenance and repairs.Position ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance and repairs on community buildings, homes, and equipmentComplete basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairsMaintain community grounds, including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and leaf removalInstall mulch and maintain landscaping and flower bedsOperate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, weed trimmers, and leaf blowersAssist with home renovations, remodeling, and turnover projectsRespond to maintenance service requests and emergency repairs as neededPerform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilitiesMaintain accurate records of completed maintenance and scheduled servicesParticipate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requestsAssist with additional maintenance projects and duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of general maintenance or property maintenance experienceWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenanceAbility to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and work independentlyStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditionsValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordAbility to work on-call for emergency maintenance when scheduledEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 2 years of maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience preferredFull-TimeWhy Join M.
