CT Technologist Position Overview
The CT Technologist is responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues, which are crucial for diagnosing various medical conditions. This role also encompasses a range of imaging procedures beyond CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to create detailed images for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform additional imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Certification in radiologic technology or a related field.
- Current license or certification required by state and national regulations.
- Experience in computed tomography and other imaging modalities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
