Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Intervention Specialist to join our educational team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges.
As an Intervention Specialist, you'll provide individualized academic instruction in a supportive classroom environment while helping students build the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills they need to succeed.
You'll work closely with students, families, teachers, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), monitor student progress, and adapt instruction based on each student's unique strengths and needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Special Education highly preferred.
- Valid Ohio teaching license required; Intervention Specialist license highly preferred.
- Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or mental health challenges preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organization, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment.
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered instruction and positive student outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Licensed Intervention Specialist — Bachelor's Level: Starting at $46,500 annually, with additional compensation based on experience.
- Licensed Intervention Specialist — Master's Level: Starting at $50,650 annually, with additional compensation based on experience.
- $5,000 sign-on bonus for licensed Intervention Specialists
- 10-month education schedule paid across 12 months

Classroom Instruction & Student Engagement
- Provide individualized academic instruction in a structured classroom environment.
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans aligned with Ohio Department of Education content standards.
- Adapt instruction to meet students' individual academic, behavioral, and learning needs.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes safety, belonging, engagement, and academic growth.
