Medical Scribe/Clinical Scribe/Physician Scribe

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Scribe to support physicians with accurate and timely clinical documentation during patient encounters. The ideal candidate will have strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to accurately document physician findings, diagnoses, orders, and treatment plans.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Medical Scribe
• Typing speed of 90+ WPM
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications quickly
• Excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, and written communication
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
• Understanding of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• College education in a related field
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic

Key Responsibilities

• Accompany physicians during patient encounters and document clinical information
• Transcribe patient history, physical examination findings, and procedures
• Document laboratory and radiographic study results
• Record diagnoses, symptoms, medications, referrals, tests, and procedures as directed
• Document patient education and physician discussions regarding treatment risks and benefits
• Record follow-up instructions and prescription information
• Prepare, review, and edit clinical documentation for physician review and signature
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout patient encounters
