Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Rochester, New York
Shift: 6:00 AM–3:45 PM
Employment Type: Direct Hire

We are recruiting a Maintenance Mechanic for one of Rochester’s fastest-growing CNC machining companies. The company operates from a new facility, has invested heavily in modern CNC and manufacturing equipment, and produces precision components for the aerospace, defense, and medical industries.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and supporting production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems
• Diagnose issues involving motors, pumps, bearings, belts, sensors, switches, and related components
• Complete inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements
• Respond to production breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
• Maintain accurate work orders and preventive-maintenance records
• Support equipment installations, relocations, and facility projects
• Follow lockout/tagout and all plant safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Industrial maintenance, machine repair, or field-service experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience with CNC machines or industrial production equipment is preferred
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
• Willingness to work frequent overtime as needed
