Personal Injury Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join an expanding New York practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in personal injury law, the ability to independently manage cases throughout the litigation process, and a proactive, strategic approach to client representation. This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of a personal injury caseload, develop case strategies, advocate effectively for clients, and collaborate with a team of seasoned legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of personal injury matters from evaluation to resolution
• Develop and execute tailored case strategies based on legal issues and objectives
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and related documents
• Take and defend depositions; represent clients in court, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings
• Negotiate with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and parties to secure favorable outcomes
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case status and strategy
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for efficient case management
• Analyze liability, damages, medical records, and evidence to assess case value and guide litigation
• Stay current on developments in personal injury law, court procedures, and legal trends

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in New York, in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing personal injury law
