Industrial Maintenance Technician

(Westwego, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial machinery and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, electrical experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties:
• Perform daily work orders, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain steam, heating, cooling, plumbing, pipefitting, and water treatment systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Record utility usage and maintain accurate equipment service and maintenance logs.
• Prioritize scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow all safety standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a maintenance team in a high-volume production setting.

Requirements/Skills:
• Minimum 3 years of industrial or commercial machinery and facility maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional electrical experience, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Working knowledge of PLC logic and basic PLC programming.
• Proficiency using standard hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic meters.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand technical documentation printed in English.
• Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• At least 1 year of logic or basic programming experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced industrial production environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and work around industrial machinery for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
