Asphalt Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Denver, CO
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

A long-standing asphalt construction company is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join its Denver team.

The ideal candidate for this position must have minimum 6 months experience operating asphalt milling machines, rollers, skid steers, pavers, and other equipment used on paving and milling projects.

Primary Duties

• Safely operate and maintain asphalt construction equipment.
• Inspect equipment and report mechanical problems.
• Follow daily production plans and supervisor instructions.
• Communicate effectively with operators, drivers, laborers, and contractors.
• Assist with equipment setup, site cleanup, traffic control, and general labor as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow all company and job-site safety procedures.
• Travel to job sites and stay away from home when projects require it.

Qualifications

• At least one year of heavy-equipment operating experience.
• 6 months asphalt milling, paving, roller, and or skid-steer experience.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.
• Ability to travel to assigned job sites is required.
