Job Captain

Position Type:

• Contract
• Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH

Required:

• Associate degree or equivalent vocational/technical certification
• 5 years of architecture, construction, or residential design experience
• 2 years of project or people management experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of architectural and construction principles
• Experience in project and people management
• Ability to influence and collaborate with internal resources, consultants, and remote teams

Preferences:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Experience with SketchUp, BIM360
• Residential construction or homebuilding experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage internal and external teams and projects to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Collaborate with other departments for informed decision-making
• Engage with team members to share experiences and best practices
• Assist in design initiatives and new technology projects
• Ensure project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
• Manage multiple projects and read/understand construction codes
• Exercise independent judgment and manage data effectively
• Assist in business analysis and governance of standards
• Plan, prioritize, and manage cross-functional teams
• Use imagination to produce solutions and incorporate new practices
