Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician

St. Peter Vet Clinic is seeking a motivated, dependable, hard-working Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team.

We are seeking an individual who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, has compassion, and can work well in a fast-paced environment. Previous veterinary experience or a licensed veterinary technician is preferred but individuals eager to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Position duties would include:

• Assisting veterinarians with appointments, procedures, and treatments.
• Restraint and handling of dogs, cats, and possibly large animals.
• Cleaning and maintenance of exam rooms, cages, dog runs, and equipment.
• Communicating professionally with clients via in person or phone calls.
• Provide generalized patient care for hospitalized, surgical, or boarded animals.
• Monitoring patients during and after procedures.
• Processing of laboratory samples.
• Organization of patient medical records and client information.
