Machinist III

• Temp to Perm position
• 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Pay Range $30-$32/hr DOE
• Drug and Background screen required

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong conventional machining experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce precision parts to close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine shop equipment, including knee mills and engine lathes.
• Perform milling, turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, tapping, grinding, and related operations.
• Fabricate precision metal parts, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform complex setups, tramming, fitting, and machining to close tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and engineering instructions.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and dimensional requirements are met.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Quality and perform peer inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Meet production schedules and established labor standards.
• Assist with training and troubleshoot unusual machining requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Technical High School preferred.
• 4–6 years of related machining experience.
• Knowledge of ISO process controls.
• Strong blueprint reading, precision measurement, and shop math skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Windows, MS Office, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.; heavier items require assistance or lifting equipment.
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, welding areas, compressed gases, chemicals, robotics, and occasional high noise levels.
• Safety glasses and appropriate gloves are required when operating machinery or handling chemicals.
