CRA – Commercial Residential Aluminum
Service Area: Southwest and Central Florida, including Naples, Fort Myers, Venice, Tampa, and surrounding communities

CRA is seeking experienced Commercial Aluminum Installers to support our continued growth. Our commercial teams install aluminum canopies, carports, covered walkways, railing systems, and other custom-fabricated aluminum products for new construction and commercial projects.

Position Summary

The Commercial Aluminum Installer is responsible for safely and efficiently installing aluminum systems according to approved plans, engineering specifications, project requirements, and CRA quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial installation experience, can read construction drawings and engineered plans, and takes pride in completing high-quality work on schedule. This position requires regular travel to project locations throughout CRA’s service area.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial aluminum systems, including canopies, carports, covered walkways, railings, and related structures.
• Assemble, fabricate, modify, and repair aluminum components as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, shop drawings, and engineered plans.
• Follow current engineering specifications, building requirements, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and assemble materials accurately.
• Verify measurements and material quantities before and during installation.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other job-related equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, structural integrity, and overall quality.
• Identify installation challenges and communicate issues promptly to the Project Manager or Commercial Manager.
• Maintain an organized and safe jobsite.
• Follow all CRA safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety rules.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, fabricators, subcontractors, and other team members.
• Complete assigned projects accurately and within established schedules.
• Represent CRA professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, inspectors, and other project partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of relevant installation experience in commercial aluminum, canopies, carports, covered walkways, railings, screen enclosures, or a closely related construction trade.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and engineered plans.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction methods, jobsite safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic construction-related calculations.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in aluminum installation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate professionally with managers, coworkers, customers, and project partners.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets CRA’s insurance requirements.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to travel to assigned project locations.
• Must have the tools necessary to perform the assigned work unless otherwise provided by CRA.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work in outdoor conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment associated with the position.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work at elevated heights for extended periods.
• Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at active construction sites.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Reporting and Accountability

• Reports directly to the Commercial Manager.
• Takes project-specific direction from the assigned Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
• Accountable for safe work practices, installation quality, productivity, attendance, and timely project completion.
