Machine Operator (Full-Time)
Job Summary
CT Polymers is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team in person. You will set up and run industrial machinery, manage warehouse materials using a forklift, and maintain high-quality production standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, mathematical accuracy, and the agility to handle physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain simple and complex industrial machinery.
- Equipment Care: Clean production machinery and remain responsible for company-provided tools.
- Material Handling: Supply production lines and store materials using a sit-down forklift.
- Logistics & Prep: Clean boxes, lids, and skids thoroughly before staging them.
- Documentation: Complete quality control logs, production ledgers, and box tickets legibly.
- Basic Math: Compute material weights accurately using gross, tare, and net calculations.
- Collaboration: Participate in shift meetings, training sessions, and communicate with coworkers.
Job Requirements
- Forklift Experience: Minimum 2 years of forklift experience is mandatory.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 65 pounds.
- Mobility: Stand, walk, stoop, and bend 80% of the shift.
- Stamina: Get on and off forklifts repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Technical Skills: Proficient using calculators, adding machines, and industrial scales.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and work under deadline pressure.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Certification is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
