Position Summary: Located in Richmond and Ashland
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment, reading blueprints, performing fabrication processes, and producing quality parts according to specifications. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor fabrication and production machinery to manufacture parts and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
- Measure, mark, and verify dimensions using calipers, tape measures, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Operate equipment such as press brakes, shears, punch presses, saws, drills, CNC machines, or other fabrication machinery.
- Perform cutting, drilling, bending, grinding, and assembly operations.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Make machine adjustments and perform routine troubleshooting to maintain efficient production.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely.
- Complete production documentation, quality checks, and inventory records accurately.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine operation, fabrication, metalworking, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and material calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
