Sales Consultant – Premium Windows, Doors & Skylights

OVERVIEW:

• Seeking a client-focused sales professional to represent premium window, door, and skylight products to residential and commercial customers, guiding them from initial inquiry through installation and job completion

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct in-home or on-site consultations to assess customer needs, measurements, and design preferences
• Present product lines (windows, doors, skylights) with a focus on craftsmanship, materials, energy efficiency, and design flexibility
• Develop accurate, itemized quotes reflecting product specs, labor, and installation costs
• Educate customers on materials (wood, fiberglass, aluminum-clad, vinyl), glazing options, and performance ratings (U-factor, SHGC, STC)
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, builders, interior designers, and contractors as referral sources
• Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, proposal, negotiation, and closing
• Coordinate with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth hand-off and customer satisfaction
• Maintain records of leads, quotes, and follow-ups
• Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and margin goals
• Stay current on product innovations, building codes, and industry trends

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in building materials, home improvement, or luxury retail
• Strong understanding of construction, architecture, or design (preferred)
• Excellent consultative selling and relationship-building skills
• Comfort with technical specs and reading blueprints/floor plans
• Proficiency with CRM and quoting software
• Valid driver's license for site visits

 
COMPENSATION:

• 100% commission-based (no base salary)
• Commission calculated as a percentage of gross profit
• Uncapped earning potential — top performers can significantly exceed typical salaried roles in the industry
• Draw against commission may be available during initial ramp-up period
