Position Overview

Survey Pro, LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Land Surveyor Crew Chief to join our team in Upstate South Carolina.

This position will primarily involve boundary surveys and topographic surveys, along with other typical residential and land surveying projects. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently in the field, takes pride in accurate work, and can efficiently manage day-to-day field operations.

This is a local position with minimal travel. Our projects are primarily located throughout Upstate South Carolina, so overnight and extended travel are generally not required.

A company work truck and surveying equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Crew Chief for boundary and topographic surveys
• Perform fieldwork for property boundary surveys, subdivisions, and topographic surveys
• Locate and verify property corners, monuments, and other boundary evidence
• Perform accurate data collection using modern surveying equipment
• Research and interpret plats, deeds, maps, and other survey information as needed
• Set property corners and clearly mark property lines
• Maintain organized and accurate field notes and survey data
• Communicate effectively with office staff regarding field conditions and project requirements
• Properly care for company surveying equipment and work vehicle
• Work safely and professionally on residential, wooded, rural, and construction sites

Qualifications

• Previous land surveying field experience required
• Crew Chief experience strongly preferred
• Experience with boundary and topographic surveying
• Ability to operate GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and other standard surveying equipment
• Ability to read and understand plats, deeds, and survey plans
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Dependable, organized, and able to communicate well
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain
