My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new full-time Resident Engineer / Construction Inspector opportunity available for a major firm located in Islip, Long Island that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work schedule will be onsite in the firms' offices on Islip, Long Island.  

This position will be paying a competitive fulltime salary in the range of $90,000 - $110,000 plus an outstanding benefits package which includes paid reimbursement for the candidates P.E or EIT.

Responsibilities:

The firm is seeking a resident engineer / construction inspector for civil-structural related work. 

Current projects include an Electric Power Generating Station in Brooklyn, NY where the firm is overseeing the rehabilitation of a large pier including the encasement of piles below the waterline as well as overseeing geotechnical investigations of potential future development site. 

Other current project sites include a Generating Station (façade and structural remediation efforts) and power plant (pier and pile cap restoration projects). 

The ideal Resident Engineer / Construction Inspector for these projects will oversee the contractor’s work as well as coordinating the firms dive inspection consultant.

Additional work includes oversight of construction of large commercial and industrial pre-engineered metal buildings). 

Experience: 

The ideal candidate should possess a PE (Professional Engineering) education which is preferred however a candidate with EIT (Engineer in Training) and possesses field construction or construction oversight experience, particularly in the civil and/or structural disciplines will be considered. This position requires the ideal candidate to possess either a civil and / or structural engineering background.
