CT Technologist
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced environment. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and patient care.
Position Information:- Department: CT Scan
- Specialty: CT Tech
- Shift: Variable (4x9s or 3x12s)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: As needed
- Call Requirements: Occasional standby requirements
- Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced Certification, Maine License
- Years of Experience: 1-2 years
- GE Experience: Required; experience with GE Optima 660 and/or GE Revolution preferred
- RTO: 7 days maximum
- Out of State Travelers: Welcome
- Patient Ratios: 74 Daily Caseload
- Equipment: GE
- EHR: Epic
- Patient Population: Primarily adult patients
The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting CT scans of various body parts, including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, and extremities
- Executing CT procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and angiographies as needed
- Collaborating with physicians to analyze and interpret images
- Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to safety standards
- Must Have Skills: Inpatient, ER, Community Hospital experience; proficient in IV starts, contrast administration, and various imaging techniques
- Preferred Skillset: Outpatient experience; familiarity with PACS, CT arthrography, drainage procedures, myelography, and Epic system
- Common Diagnoses: Cancer, trauma, pulmonary embolism, stroke, etc.
Grey scrubs are required for the position.
