UNIT DETAILS:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit does not accept first time travelers
WEEKEND: Included in call requirements
CALL: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weekdays per week
FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed
Certfications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS

Skills:
Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
- Cardiac stent placement
- PCI / PTCA
- Left & right heart catheterization
- Recognition and interpretation of life-threatening arrhythmias/dysrhythmias
- EKG lead placement and accurate monitoring
- Scrub/sterile field and room circulator experience
- IABP placement/removal
- Impella insertion
- Temporary pacemaker
- Rotablator atherectomy
- IVC filter placement
- Thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Isolation precautions/PPE and code/rapid response experience
