Responsibilities
Provide therapy sessions following students’ IEP/IFSPs, communicate appropriately with professional school staff and families of assigned students, and maintain accurate documentation.
Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, and nurses.
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Help students improve mobility, independence, and participation in the educational setting.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Physical/Occupational Therapist License/Certification
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Physical completed within the last 12 months
- Current PPD documentation
- MMR documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be fingerprinted through the NYC Department of Education or be willing to obtain fingerprints
