Industrial Fitters - Structural, Pipe & Vessel

We're hiring Industrial Fitters – Structural, Pipe & Vessel for our Northwest Houston area client! We have multiple openings and are looking for experienced fabrication professionals across several skill levels who are ready to interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Industrial Fitters – Structural, Pipe & Vessel
Location: Northwest Houston, TX 77041
Pay: $14.00–$30.00/hour (based on fitting experience, skill level, and position)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

CURRENT FITTER OPENINGS:

• Structural Fitter: $19.00–$28.00/hour
• Pipe Fitter: $16.00–$30.00/hour
• Vessel Fitter: $18.00–$28.00/hour

You do NOT need experience in all three areas to apply. Candidates will be considered for the position that best matches their fitting and fabrication background.

Description of Duties: Perform fitting, layout, measurement, alignment, and fabrication of structural steel, pipe, pressure vessels, towers, and related heavy industrial components, depending on your area of experience. Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications, measure and position components, perform fit-ups, and verify dimensional accuracy prior to welding. Utilize fabrication equipment including welding machines, flame cutting torches, carbon arc gouging, plasma cutting equipment, grinders, and other fitting tools.

Requirements: We are seeking candidates with previous hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Structural Fitting: Structural steel and heavy fabrication experience, including fit-up and Flux Core (FCAW) welding. Approximately 3 years of related experience preferred.
• Pipe Fitting: Industrial pipe fitting and fabrication experience with strong measurement, layout, and engineering drawing skills.
• Vessel Fitting: Experience fabricating pressure vessels, large vessels, towers, shells, nozzles, or similar heavy-fabricated equipment using carbon and/or stainless steel.

Candidates should be proficient with a tape measure and capable of reading measurements to 1/16" or smaller. Depending on the position, candidates may also need to read engineering drawings, calculate angles/degrees and circumference, understand fabrication sequences, and use welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting equipment.

Multiple skill levels are being considered. Pay and placement will be determined by your specific fitting experience and qualifications.
