Job Summary

We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in San Jose, CA with a U.S. subsidiary of a global semiconductor packaging manufacturer. This role is ideal for a bilingual English and Japanese supply chain professional who enjoys working across cultures, solving complex supply challenges, and serving as a key communication bridge between teams in the U.S., Japan, suppliers, and customers.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist will support demand planning, supply planning, supplier performance, material availability, and cross-functional issue resolution. This is a high-visibility position with strong exposure to global stakeholders, technical teams, procurement, engineering, quality, operations, and customer-facing groups.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, capacity, lead times, responsiveness, and overall supply continuity.
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, planning, operations, engineering, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure timely material availability and effective issue resolution.
- Analyze supply chain risks and develop mitigation, recovery, and contingency plans to support customer requirements and business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between U.S. and Japan organizations, helping align technical, operational, and business priorities across global teams.
- Participate in supplier audits, business reviews, performance evaluations, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support supplier qualification, sourcing, capacity expansion, supplier relationship management, and supply chain process improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $96,700 to $110,800 per year.
- Bonus estimate: $20,000 to $30,000 annually.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
