About the Role:
As a Materials Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procurement operations. Under supervision, you'll negotiate pricing, manage non-strategic suppliers, and oversee the entire purchasing process to ensure materials and services are delivered on time and within budget. Your responsibilities include issuing RFQs, evaluating bids, expediting orders, and managing purchase orders from initiation through delivery, payment, and recordkeeping. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify potential suppliers, support contract negotiations, and maintain optimal inventory levels. Leveraging SAP and Ariba, you'll analyze data, track inventory, and generate insightful reports to improve procurement efficiency.
This role also involves supporting process improvements, managing small projects, and mentoring junior team members, allowing you to develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
1–3 years (entry-level) or 3–5 years (mid-level) experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement strategies, inventory control, logistics, and vendor management
Proficiency with SAP and Ariba, along with excellent data analysis and reporting skills
Proven negotiation, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adhere to procurement procedures
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Willingness to work onsite full-time in Austin, TX, with overtime as needed

Pay Details: $27.90 to $37.74 per hour
