Medical Disability Examiner (NP/PA or MD)

(Independent Contractor - 1099)

Location: Somerset, KY

Shifts: 1 day in a week

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to conduct comprehensive medical disability evaluations. This is an evaluation-only position focused on performing thorough clinical assessments, reviewing medical records, documenting findings, and providing objective medical opinions.

The role does not involve prescribing medications, active treatment, or ongoing continuity of care.

• Conduct thorough and structured medical disability evaluations.

• Review medical records and relevant clinical documentation.

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and document findings accurately.

• Provide clear, objective, and evidence-based medical opinions.

• Prepare detailed evaluation reports in accordance with established guidelines.

• Assess medical conditions and their impact on functional abilities.

• Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines.

• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements.

• Conduct evaluations through secure telehealth platforms when applicable.

• Degree: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

• Specialty: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in Kentucky.

• Previous clinical experience with strong assessment and documentation skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.

• Comfortable using electronic medical records and telehealth technology.

• Ability to provide objective, well-supported clinical opinions.

• Evaluations may be conducted through a secure telehealth platform.

• Must have access to a private, quiet, and secure workspace.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection required for virtual evaluations.

• Must maintain HIPAA-compliant practices when conducting telehealth assessments.

• Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

• Schedule: Flexible, self-managed hours

• Availability: Weekday and weekend opportunities

• Training: Structured orientation and role-specific assessment training provided
