Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician in a hospital setting, scheduled for days shift. This position involves supporting a small but fast-paced IR suite, performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures primarily on adult and geriatric patients. The role requires proficiency in handling specialized equipment and maintaining sterile conditions during complex procedures.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 8 hours (08:00-16:30), Monday through Friday scheduled, with approximately 8-10 on-call shifts per month for urgent/emergency cases, including every third weekend on-call.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state of Maryland or Compact Registered (ARRT(R)) license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records systems, preferably Epic, and prior community hospital experience.
  • Responsibilities: Assist during angioplasty, thrombectomy, dialysis catheter placements, biopsies, and numerous interventional procedures; manage and monitor specialized equipment such as Phillips Azurion C-arm, angioplasty balloons, stents, and tunneled dialysis catheters; maintain sterile techniques and equipment inventory; support patient care including vascular access and biopsies; float within IR and catheterization laboratory suites as needed.
  • Certifications: ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, and CCI RCIS.
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, from 10/05/2026 to 01/25/2027.
