\nPrimary Patient Population:\n
\n
\n• Stroke Rehabilitation\n
\n
\nPrimary skills utilized/learned:\n
\n
\n• Neurological assessments\n
\n
\n• Adaptive ADLs\n
\n
\n• Transfer/Mobility training\n
\n
\n• Vital signs, IVs, Foley Catheter insertion/removal, Wound care, etc.\n
\n
\nPersonnel Nurse Intern will work with:\n
\n
\n• RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians\n
\n
\nNumber of beds on unit:\n
\n
\n• 14 beds\n
\n

\nRequired Qualifications:\n
\n
\n- Enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).\n
\n
\n- Completed fundamentals of nursing\n
\n
\n- Currently registered in clinical rotations\n
\n
\n- Continuous enrollment in a nursing program\n
\n
\n- Eligibility to continue in the position is a maximum of 6 months upon graduating from nursing school\n
\n
\n- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
