\n **Job Description:**
\n - Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
\n - RTO after booking is not allowed; no onsite workarounds.
\n - Call-offs or additional RTO could lead to cancellations and DNR.
\n **Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:**
\n - Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
\n - Traveler Experience required unless traveler has over 24 months of cardiac experience.
\n - Skills:
\n - Cardiac Telemetry
\n - PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
\n - Sheath Removal
\n - Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
\n - Post MI and Pre/Post Cardiac CathCare
\n - Manage Cardiac Drips (no titration)
\n - Titrate Cardiac Drips
\n - Chest Tubes (Emerson/Pleuravac)
\n - Non-invasive Airway Management
\n - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n **Preferred Skills / Experience:**
\n - Arterial Line Management
\n - Wound Care/Wound Vac
\n - Charge Experience
\n **Unit Details:**
\n - Ratios:
\n - 1:4 for Surgical Step Down
\n - 1:5-6 for Lower Acuity
\n - Weekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible)
\n - Contract staff may be assigned to work Storm or Hurricane Teams.
\n - Must be prepared for work during catastrophic events or mass casualties.
\n **Patient Diagnoses:**
\n - Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD
\n - Aortic Stenosis, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis
\n - Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD, PAD
\n - Sheath Management and Removal
\n **Special Procedures / Unit Details:**
\n - CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR
\n - Mitral Clip, LAAO, VATS
\n - Carotid Endarterectomy, FEM-POP Bypass
\n - Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeries
\n - Post Cath, Post DCCV, Pacemaker Placements
\n **Special Equipment:**
\n - Arterial Lines, Bladder Scanner, EKG
\n - Femoral Sheaths, Chest Tubes
\n - Epicardial Pacing Wires
\n **Unit Systems:**
\n - Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
\n **Unit Orientation:**
\n - 24 hours
\n **Scrubs:**
\n - Navy
