Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full time

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team in Asheville, North Carolina.

About the Role

As a COTA with Brighton Healthcare, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled occupational therapy services to our residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT

  • Providing skilled interventions including therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment training, and functional mobility

  • Accurately documenting treatments, resident progress, and response to interventions

  • Communicating with the supervising OT regarding resident progress and changes in condition

  • Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and safety techniques

  • Working closely with the therapy team and facility staff to support quality resident care

  • Following Brighton Healthcare policies, professional standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current and valid COTA certification/licensure

  • CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire

  • Previous SNF or long-term care experience preferred

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Compassionate and dependable approach to resident care
