We are currently looking for a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team in Asheville, North Carolina.
About the RoleAs a COTA with Brighton Healthcare, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled occupational therapy services to our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
Implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
Providing skilled interventions including therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment training, and functional mobility
Accurately documenting treatments, resident progress, and response to interventions
Communicating with the supervising OT regarding resident progress and changes in condition
Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and safety techniques
Working closely with the therapy team and facility staff to support quality resident care
Following Brighton Healthcare policies, professional standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current and valid COTA certification/licensure
CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
Previous SNF or long-term care experience preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Compassionate and dependable approach to resident care
