Quality Inspector

Position Description: Position Quality Inspector
Location - Schaumburg IL then move to Huntley.Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured parts meet the required quality standards and specifications. This role involves performing inspections, documenting findings, and collaborating with the production team to maintain high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
\tConduct thorough inspections of machined components and assemblies using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, portable CMM).
\tReview engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to ensure compliance with quality standards.
\tDocument inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
\tCommunicate effectively with the production team to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
\tParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
\tAssist in the development and implementation of inspection processes and procedures.
\tEnsure that the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
\tPerform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
\tHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field preferred.
\tProven experience as an Inspector in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
\tStrong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and quality control standards.
\tProficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.
\tExcellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
\tStrong communication and teamwork abilities.
\tAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.
Working Conditions:
\tMust be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
\tMay require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
