Job Description
Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a specialized Quality (QC) Final Inspector Level II to join its Brea, CA team! The Final Inspector Level II will perform visual, electrical and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies. This position will also be responsible for performing receiving inspections of outsourced processes and final assembly inspections while recording results and preparing various quality documents. Qualified candidates will have experience with microscope inspection for at least 6 hours per shift. Also, inspection experience in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS)/printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) industry with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole (THT) operations experience is required.

Responsibilities of the QC Final Inspector Level II:
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and PCB Gerber files to determine material, electrical, cosmetic, and workmanship requirements.
- Conduct detailed visual, electrical, and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001, engineering requirements, and customer‑specific criteria.
- Use electrical meters and instruments to verify resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components meet required electrical specifications.
- Perform conformal coating inspections under both black light and white light to validate coverage and workmanship.
- Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAI) for boards following Through‑Hole operations.
- Inspect sub‑assemblies, box builds, shipping units, and incoming outsourced processes as required.
- Assist with failure analysis, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Carry out other inspection‑related duties as assigned by management.
