Nanny/Governess (HEM-1349)

FULL-TIME NANNY / GOVERNESS – SILICON VALLEY, CA
Live-In or Live-Out

A wonderful private family in Silicon Valley is seeking an experienced, warm and highly organized Nanny / Governess to provide exceptional care and support for their two school-aged children, one boy and one girl.

This is a full-time, permanent position that may be live-in or live-out depending on the candidate's preference. The ideal candidate will be kind, energetic and engaging, with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational, social and emotional development.

The family is seeking someone who can provide loving, age-appropriate care while also bringing structure, organization and consistency to the children's daily routines.

Responsibilities include:

• Accompany the family driver for school drop-offs, pick-ups and extracurricular activities
• Manage and coordinate the children's daily schedules and routines
• Assist with homework, school assignments and educational projects
• Communicate with parents regarding schoolwork, activities, schedules and the children's needs
• Plan engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities
• Encourage reading, learning, creativity and age-appropriate independence
• Prepare healthy snacks and simple meals for the children as needed
• Organize school bags, uniforms, activity equipment and other daily necessities
• Maintain the children's bedrooms, play areas, closets and belongings in an organized manner
• Assist with children's packing and preparation for travel
• Coordinate playdates, activities and appointments as required
• Provide attentive supervision while encouraging good manners, responsibility and positive routines
• Travel with the family as needed
• Work collaboratively with parents and other household staff to ensure consistency and seamless support

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience caring for school-aged children, preferably within a private household. A strong educational mindset and previous Governess, teaching, tutoring or academic-support experience would be highly valued.

Candidates should be warm, patient, dependable, discreet and highly organized, with excellent communication skills and the ability to establish appropriate boundaries while developing a positive and trusting relationship with the children.

Flexibility is essential, including the ability to assist with evenings, weekends and family travel when required.
