Job description

We are looking for licensed Physical Therapy Assistants to provide therapy to patients/clients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provides services that are ordered by the physicians as indicated in the plan of care, as developed, delegated and supervised by the PT. Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
• Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalitites to patients/clients
• Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating and performing patient/client care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
• Accepts clinical assignments that are consisted with education and competence to care for patients/clients
• Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to provide patient/client and caregiver education
• Meets mandatory continuing education requirements
• Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary
• Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency
• Participates in the agency's QAPI program
• Participates in Agency-sponsored in-service training
