Description
American Traveler is hiring a night-shift CT Technologist (dual CT/X-ray) for a low-volume orthopedic imaging setting, requiring ARRT CT & R certification and Siemens equipment experience.
Details
- Specialty orthopedic hospital setting with exam room and portable imaging
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, both inpatient and outpatient
- Daily caseload of up to 20 patients with low shift volume, working independently
- Rotation possible across multiple hospital departments or an affiliated private sector location
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- X-ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Night shift schedule Monday–Friday, midnight to 8:30 AM with a 30-minute lunch
- First two weeks require day shift training before transitioning to regular night schedule
- Epic EMR preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required in combined CT and X-ray technologist role
- ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
- BLS certification required
- NYS license with IV certification required (license required if applicable)
- Department of Health New York (DOHNYS) certification required
- Experience operating Siemens CT equipment required
- Proficiency performing both CT scans and X-rays required
- Experience with portables, OR/C-arm skills preferred
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 pounds, with or without assistive devices
Additional Information
- Perform orthopedic CT and X-ray exams in exam room settings and via portable equipment for inpatients and outpatients
- Work independently during low-volume overnight shifts
- COVID vaccination required with no exceptions
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning NYU staff must wait one year before becoming eligible to travel again
- RTO must be 5 days or less, with no time off permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
