Cath Lab Tech Position Overview
This position is for a Cath Lab Tech, responsible for assisting in various cardiac catheterization procedures. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration with the cardiology team is crucial to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Shift Details- Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30), with flexibility as needed to ensure completion of procedures.
- Call Requirements: Must be available for one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) every seven weeks and an evening shift each week.
- Holidays: Availability required as needed.
Daily, each tech will handle a caseload of approximately 20-25 cases, working across 4 to 5 labs with 2-3 CVTs per lab.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting is required.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- National certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process).
- A current South Carolina license is mandatory.
- Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency; facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers.
- Cath lab experience is essential, with proficiency in coronary diagnostics and interventions.
- Block Schedule: Accommodation may be possible; requires manager approval based on unit needs.
- Local Radius Rule: 60-mile radius applies for this position.
- Local Candidates: May be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
- RTO Restrictions: All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility reserves the right to call off one shift per two weeks.
