DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the daily clinical and therapeutic needs of patients by carrying out essential nursing tasks. It plays a key role in maintaining safe care, clear communication, and steady support throughout the treatment process.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:
- Medication Tasks: Prepare and administer medications and treatments
- Patient Support: Assist patients with daily living activities and therapeutic care
- Clinical Documentation: Record patient behavior, progress notes, and responses to care
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and apply crisis intervention techniques
- Safety Practices: Promote clean, safe conditions and follow infection control procedures
- Advocacy Role: Act as patient advocate and communicate needs to nursing staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment; 80 hours biweekly.
- Work hours are:
- 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 30-minute lunch.
- Rotating schedule
- Works holidays and weekends
- Multiple positions may be filled from this posting

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements:- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
