Pittsburgh, PA – Interventional Radiology Tech (IR | Acute Care | Travel Assignment)

- Experience: 1–2+ years recent acute care IR experience
- Systems/Equipment: Fluoroscopy, McKesson PACS
Scope of Role:
- Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided interventional radiology procedures
- Operate fluoroscopic equipment and support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient identification and review imaging orders for accuracy
- Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support
- Scrub and assist during diagnostic and interventional IR procedures
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and report abnormalities
- Operate IV and contrast injector systems safely and effectively
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation safety protocols
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in McKesson PACS
- Maintain patient records and procedural documentation
Must-Have Credentials:
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care IR experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT (VI) or Vascular Interventional certification
- CCI certification
- 2+ years of IR experience
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Experience with fluoroscopy and interventional procedures
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of bending, lifting, and assisting patients as needed
