Classroom Assistant

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated person to support the development and well-being of children in our childcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education, experience working with children of various ages, and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children’s activities to ensure safety and engagement
• Provide basic caregiving duties including feeding, diapering, and hygiene support for infants and toddlers
• Manage behavior using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
• Assist with classroom organization and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
• Support children with special needs or disabilities as required
• Incorporate early childhood education principles to foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth
• Administer first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Must have or be able to obtain PA child abuse clearances
• Certification in first aid and CPR upon hire
• Online training courses upon hire
• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles preferred, but not required
