Primary Care Physician

A Primary Care Physician plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care to patients within a small, close-knit team of 2-5 members. This role involves managing a daily patient load that often exceeds 30 individuals, providing diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care while coordinating referrals and handling occasional on-call or after-hours responsibilities. Proficiency with ECW electronic health record systems and strong clinical decision-making skills are essential in delivering effective patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to diagnose medical conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Prescribe medications and manage prescriptions appropriately
• Provide patient counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Manage chronic diseases through ongoing assessment and care
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and monitor follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records using ECW EHR system
• Deliver emergency care and respond to urgent medical situations
• Participate in occasional on-call or after-hours clinical responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in primary care medicine
• Completion of residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Board Certification in Primary Care
• Strong physical examination and diagnostic skills
• Expertise in prescription writing and medication management
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (ECW)
• Excellent patient communication and empathy
• Proficient clinical decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of preventive medicine and chronic disease management
• Capable of providing emergency response when needed
