Job Title: Sales Director - New Business / New Logo Acquisition

Job Type: Fulltime

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois (Onsite)

Purpose of the Role:

  • Own and drive net-new customer acquisition through structured outbound sales motions
  • Build, scale, and lead a high-performing outbound sales engine (people, process, and pipeline)
  • Serve as a strategic revenue driver responsible for expanding market share via new client wins, distinct from account management or renewals


Key Responsibilities

A. Outbound Pipeline Generation & New Logo Acquisition

  • Design and execute outbound prospecting strategies across email, cold calling, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Personally engage and close strategic/high-value target accounts alongside team-led efforts
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of net-new logos aligned to ideal customer profile (ICP)
  • Own the full outbound sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, pitching, negotiation, and closing

B. Sales Strategy & Territory Planning

  • Define target account lists, ICP criteria, and market segmentation for outbound focus
  • Develop territory and vertical-specific go-to-market plans
  • Set quarterly/annual new logo acquisition targets in line with company revenue goals
  • Identify white-space opportunities and underpenetrated markets/segments

C. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor outbound sales reps (SDRs/BDRs/AEs)
  • Set individual and team quotas; monitor activity metrics and conversion ratios
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, call/email audits, and coaching sessions
  • Build a repeatable outbound playbook (scripts, sequences, objection handling)

D. Sales Process & Systems

  • Own and optimize the outbound sales process end-to-end in CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho)
  • Ensure accurate pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and stage-wise conversion tracking
  • Implement and manage sales engagement/automation tools (e.g. ZoomInfo, Apollo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Define and track key metrics: outbound activity volume, meeting-to-opportunity rate, win rate, sales cycle length, CAC

E. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on account-based marketing (ABM), messaging, and lead-gen campaigns
  • Work with Product/Solutions teams to tailor pitches and proposals to prospect needs
  • Collaborate with Finance/Legal on pricing, contracting, and deal structuring
  • Provide market and competitor feedback to Product/Leadership to inform positioning

F. Reporting & Forecasting

  • Deliver accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasts on new logo pipeline and closures
  • Present outbound performance dashboards and insights to leadership
  • Track ROI on outbound channels and recommend budget/resource reallocation

Required Experience

· Strong outbound/hunting mindset with demonstrated cold outreach success

· Expertise in outbound sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, SPIN)

· Hands-on proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools

· Excellent negotiation, presentation, and executive-level communication skills

· Data-driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting

· Strong people leadership — hiring, coaching, and performance management

· 10-12+ years of experience in New Logo Acquisition or a similar role

· Proven track record of delivering measurable results

· Experience working with cross-functional teams

· Background in (Outbound) sales

· History of managing complex projects end-to-end

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)

· Relevant professional certifications are a plus

· Demonstrated continuous learning and professional development

· Proven track record of consistently meeting/exceeding new logo acquisition targets
