Job Title: Motor Vehicle Clerk
Pay Type: Hourly
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Locations: Must be available to work at any Albuquerque and Rio Rancho locations
Schedule Requirement: Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Saturday availability between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Role

MVD Express is looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Motor Vehicle Clerk to join our team in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. You’ll process a wide range of transactions — titles, registrations, driver’s licenses, state ID cards, handicap placards, written and road tests, and interlock licenses — with accurate, professional service. No prior MVD experience? We’ll train the right person who brings a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to customer service.

What You Will Do

Transactions, Testing amp; Customer Service
✓ Complete title, registration, and driver’s license/ID transactions accurately and efficiently
✓ Process transfers, renewals, duplicate titles, handicap placards, and interlock licenses
✓ Handle more detailed transactions such as liens, VIN inspections, and out-of-state titles
✓ Conduct written and road tests in accordance with state and TSA guidelines
✓ Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email — explaining processes, requirements, and fees
Accuracy amp; Compliance
✓ Review and verify documents for accuracy and completeness
✓ Maintain TSA certification and follow all security protocols related to testing and identification
✓ Follow all policies on confidentiality, data security, and recordkeeping
✓ Stay current on changing state regulations and procedures
What We’re Looking For
✓ Previous motor vehicle, title processing, or administrative experience preferred, not required
✓ Strong attention to detail, data entry, and computer skills
✓ Excellent customer service and communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
✓ Valid Driver’s License, and ability to pass a criminal background check and MVR review
