Overview:
Saturn 5 Developments contracts with independent delivery drivers to deliver small vendor packages to residential and business customers throughout the Lafayette area. Contractors operate their own vehicles and run routes as their own business. This is a good fit for self-motivated drivers who want consistent weekly volume and are comfortable running an independent operation.

How You're Paid

• Flat rate per delivery stop: $1.50
• Additional rate per extra package at the same stop: $0.25
• Routes typically consist of [100-200] stops per day
• Full-time contractors typically gross $700–$1,500 per week
• Settlement paid weekly by direct deposit each Friday
• Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and taxes

What the Work Involves

• Picking up assigned packages at the Lafayette dispatch location
• Completing your route within the delivery window set by the shipper
• Handling packages carefully and capturing proof of delivery through the delivery app
• Communicating with dispatch about route status, exceptions, and returns
• Returning any undeliverable packages at the end of the route

What You Need

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle (car, truck, SUV, or van)
• Auto insurance
• Smartphone with a data plan
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry packages of 10 lbs or more
• 21 years of age or older

Independent Contractor Status:
This is not an employment position; no wages, benefits, overtime, or tax withholding are provided. Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations and must sign a Independent Contractor Delivery Services Agreement before running routes. Saturn 5 Developments LLC contracts with qualified drivers without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
