Maintenance Inventory Specialist

Location: Minden, NV 89423
Job Type: 1 Year Contract (W2), 100% On-Site
Pay Rate:  $25.00 / Hourly

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Maintenance Inventory Specialist to manage physical inventory, parts procurement, and vendor relationships across our facilities and maintenance teams. Given our compact floor space, this role requires exceptional spatial management and organizational skills to optimize spare parts storage within our existing infrastructure while supporting day-to-day facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Parts Management

  • Procurement & Stocking: Oversee the procurement and stock levels of all facility and maintenance inventory, including sourcing specific spare parts for active repair cases.
  • Inventory Control: Perform regular cycle counts and maintain precise, up-to-date records of all spare parts.
  • Workspace & Tool Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized inventory cabinets/work areas, track tools requiring calibration, and manage fork truck certifications.

Vendor & Administrative Support

  • Supplier Relations: Interface and communicate directly with suppliers to ensure alignment with quality, service, and delivery targets while driving continuous improvement.
  • Financial Administration: Manage credit card reconciliation and process monthly expense reports.
  • Travel Coordination: Schedule travel arrangements, itineraries, lodging, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in inventory control, procurement, or maintenance support.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, effective vendor communication, and detail-oriented recordkeeping.

Preferred / Desired

  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software, specifically Maintenance Connection (Accruent).
