Sr Cloud Network Engineer Enterprise Network & Azure Connectivity

Hybrid on site 2-3 days a week in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA

Overview

We are seeking a Sr Cloud Network Engineer with a strong routing and switching background and experience supporting Microsoft Azure networking. This role will support enterprise network initiatives spanning both on-premises infrastructure and Azure cloud environments, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity between data center and cloud resources.

The ideal candidate has deep enterprise networking experience, understands hybrid network architectures, and is comfortable working with Azure networking services to support migrations, connectivity, and ongoing operations.

Key Reponsibilities:

Support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments.

Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching to support hybrid cloud connectivity.

Implement and maintain Azure networking components to support enterprise applications.

Support network migrations and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure reliable network connectivity.

Troubleshoot network performance, routing, and connectivity issues across hybrid environments.

Document network configurations, topology changes, and implementation activities.

Participate in change management and production deployment activities.

Required Qualifications:

Strong enterprise routing and switching experience.

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including:

Azure Virtual Networks (VNets)

Virtual Network Peering

Network Security Groups (NSGs)

User-Defined Routes (UDRs)

Azure Load Balancers

VPN Gateway and/or ExpressRoute connectivity

Experience supporting hybrid on-premises to Azure network connectivity.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Cisco Nexus and/or Catalyst platforms.

Experience navigating Cisco ACI environments.

Familiarity with enterprise DNS and load balancing technologies.

Experience supporting network migrations or data center modernization initiatives.

Familiarity with change-controlled production environments.

Certifications

CCNP Enterprise preferred

Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) preferred

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure a plus

Estimated Pay Range: 70-95/hr
