Distribution Center Associate - Full-time / Part-time

Penmac Staffing is hiring a Distribution Center Associate for a local nonprofit in Springfield, MO. This is a full-time opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy staying active, working in a fast-paced environment, and making a positive impact in the community. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn warehouse operations, including forklift operation and order fulfillment.Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when filling orders
• Basic math skills for counting, inventory, and order verification
• Ability to learn forklift and pallet jack operation (training provided)
• Willingness to obtain experience operating warehouse equipment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Pick, pull, and prepare food distribution orders accurately and efficiently
• Load, unload, stage, and organize products throughout the warehouse
• Operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Verify product quantities and ensure order accuracy
• Assist with inventory organization and warehouse cleanliness
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
• Interact professionally with volunteers, visitors, and staff members
• Provide directions, answer questions, and maintain a positive customer service experience when volunteers are onsite
• Support daily warehouse operations and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, twist, and move products throughout the workday
• Ability to safely maneuver and operate warehouse equipment
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment

Schedule and Pay

• Full-time
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Occasional Tuesday evening shifts required
• $18.50 per hour
